- We are not a magnet program! Students must live in the Harrison district to be considered for the STEM program.
- Students in the STEM program must be enrolled in Algebra I or higher upon entry into high school.
Application Process
- Applicant completes and submits all required sections of the online application (below) which includes
- General information
- Self Evaluation
- 2 Teacher email addresses (for recommendations)
- 1 for a Middle School Math Teacher
- 1 for a Middle School Science Teacher
- A short answer response of 500 words or less stating why you are interested in joining the Harrison STEM program.
- A brief statement explaining your specific area(s) of interest in bio engineering / healthcare sciences.
- Uploading a file or link that demonstrates an example of creative or inquiry-based work such as an original research project/paper, an online game, app, or website you have developed, a creative project, or a presentation highlighting your participation in a STEM related event or activity.
- Applicant receives 2 teacher recommendations
- 1 from a middle school science teacher
- 1 from a middle school math teacher.
- Have teacher emails ready when you complete the online application . We will send an email for their recommendation prior to your interview date.
- Applicant completes a personal interview with Harrison faculty and current STEM students.
